Wellington sits on the Devon-Somerset border in farming country, where lanes lead toward Exmoor and the north Devon coast is within reach. Werescote View is a ground-floor cottage within the owners' property but with its own entrance, garden and complete privacy. The setting is rural—22 acres of grounds surround it, leading into walking routes—yet Wellington itself and its shops are roughly 3½ miles away, with a pub 300 yards down the lane.
The cottage sleeps 6 across three bedrooms: a king, a zip-and-link super king (which splits into two singles on request), and a zip-and-link pair of singles. Two bathrooms serve the house—one ensuite to the main bedroom with a walk-in shower, one family bathroom with both bath and shower cubicle. The ground floor holds the bedrooms, a living room with Freeview and DVD player, and a kitchen-diner equipped for real cooking: electric range, dishwasher, microwave-oven-grill and full-size fridge-freezer. Heating, electricity, Wi-Fi, bed linen and towels are included. A travel cot and highchair are available. Outside, a large garden with furniture and barbecue overlooks the grounds; bike storage is on site and there is private parking.
This works well for multi-generational family trips or groups of friends. From here, Tiverton castle and market town are close by, Exeter's cathedral and quayside around 22 miles away, and Minehead's beaches an hour's drive. No smoking inside.
