We visited for a family lunch over the weekend, an early Father's Day treat from our son. We booked based on a very pleasant previous experience albeit several years ago. The venue itself is nice but the food & service were underwhelming. There was a good selection of alcohol free drinks available for the 2 drivers in the party but the first glass of wine ordered was unavailable & our son had to choose an alternative. My husband and I are both vegan and I checked the menu before booking and although not very imaginative there were a few vegan options on the menu. I chose from the lunch menu which was on the table only to be told that this was only available Monday to Friday. We were then told that the only other vegan starter wasn't available either due to a lack of cauliflower which was also an ingredient in one of the mains. As I had wanted to order this main course, a Mediterranean salad bowl I was asked to double up on one of the other ingredients which I did, however when it arrived it contained the cauliflower which seemed strange. I am vegan by choice however for my husband this is partly due to a dairy intolerance. We were not asked about allergies by our server (for the first time in many years) and despite choosing items clearly marked as vegan on the menu a subsequent look at the allergens menu after our visit 2 items say they contain egg or milk. Whilst confusing at best this could have consequences for people with more serious allergies. A bill of over £200 for lunch for 4 people is not cheap and the food & service received do not justify the price in my opinion. Overall it was a disappointing experience. We won't be returning & have also been put off visiting other venues in this chain.

I highly recommend this hotel and will be finding an excuse to come back. We had a family suite which was lovely and kept clean. It was hot and on arrival there were 2 fans so had been thought about. We arrived quite late with 2 young kids in tow that needed feeding. A table was found right away and a great kids menu that wasn't just filled with the standard kids meals. The staff couldn't have been nicer and service was quick. Food was really tasty and reasonably priced. Same for breakfast the next day. Just a shame we had a short trip and didnt get to spend more time in the area.

This is a great place to get food after a walk around the deer park. The dish sizes are good and tasty. When I booked online, and left a note about our wedding anniversary, they bought out a desert. The staff are helpful and pleasant. Great service.

Lovely hotel! Family room was massive! Plenty of space. Really clean, great breakfast. My only Gripe, the room was horrendously hot! Two fans including a Dyson air blade, but did not cool it down in the slightest. Really nice location, very very close to the safari park. Only knock the room down by one star due to the pure heat, not a comfortable sleep due to that.
