About Plough Leisure Caravan Park

Tucked away near Minster on Sea, Plough Leisure Caravan Park offers a straightforward base for exploring the Isle of Sheppey. The site welcomes dogs and provides a good range of basics—showers, toilets, drinking water, and electric hook-up across many of its grass pitches—making it a practical choice for families looking for no-fuss camping.

That said, there's no WiFi on site, and some visitors note the facilities can feel a little tired in places. Still, if you're after a simple, pet-friendly spot within easy reach of Sheppey's beaches and birdwatching marshes, it fits the bill without overcomplicating things.

Stayed with 2 children and an old doggo with our campervan. Love place, clean and tidy. Lots of area for children to play and kick ball around. Lovely play area as well. Can walk the dog around the area which helps, as not needing to think where I could take him. Kitchen sinks available to wash the dishes in, and the toilet area is clean and always checked to make sure it's tidy. Has 3 showers but we have not used it. The owner is very lovely, and when I mentioned that I forgot to bring washing up liquid, she quickly gave me a washing up bottle 🤩 asked to leave it in the kitchen just in case other people need it ❤️ which is very thoughtful, but unfortunately someone else took it 😅🤣 which happens 😀 But we love it here, children having the best time hearing other children and playing together. Definatly will be coming back and exploring the surrounding area when the weather is warmer ❤️

I love camping with my family like sleeping in nature and waking up with bird noises so we go camping 1-2 times every year different parts of United Kingdom but this was the worst one taht I am going to explain below why: 1- I have booked this pitch like 2-3 weeks before and added a note that we are coming from far away and will be there late night. There is no callback or reject for this booking. On the day after around driving one our I remembered the checkout times and my notes and made a call. The lady (manager) rejected my request to enter after checkout time even I sent a note during booking. After I asked why did you not respond or reject my booking she was getting angry and started shouting and shot the phone on my face then I turned all the way back home as no chance to enter. My kids and wife were very sad as we were all exited for our first camping in this year. 2- Next day I arrived on the pitch location and completed all set up my tent and all other stuff. We went to town to walk around and shopping. I was shocked that manager put another tent in my pitch number (16) even there were more than 30 empty pitches. I asked manager why did you do that, she said all pitches for 2 tents, but there was no car parking space in my area even my tent is very small. I got that because the manager like crazy, getting angry and shouting so I did not say anything but leave the conversation. 3- If what she said is true pitches are very very small is not even enough for like 4*1.80 tent. 4- The manager is very angry I don't suggest to book there as you will have some problems and she will get angry if you request something. 5- There is no continuously electricity power. It was cut one day I asked to fix it but no chance. We could not even charge our phones. We hopefully had power banks. 6- The shower area is very narrow like 65cm*120cm you cant move while taking shower. 7- The toilets has a very high ramp which I believe retired people cant climb. 8- Some of the tabs are not working in toilet. All of the working ones have high pressure and splashing around which you cant control. So have to go somewhere to wash your hands. 9- The pitch lights were not working. 10- All my pegs were bended during the tent settling as the ground was like rock and I bought new ones. 11- I requested refund the day that she did not allow me to enter and she got angry again. So I paid £38 for one day for nothing. I know she is going to read this review. I did not want to argue with you but I have right to share my experience. People who want to book this pitch. I assure you that I all the above statement is true. If you don't believe me then book pitch 16 and you will see it.

Cheap as chips. £75 for 3 nights. Large grass pitches (our tent is 7.4m long fits easy) nice guy that runs the place. Good clean toilets and showers. The showers have good pressure, are warm/hot, and don't go cold when someone flushes the loo!!! 🤣 The park is small and needs some attention. Overall, it's a great site. Would definitely stay again if we were over this way.
