What visitors say
Does its job as a leisure centre. Has a pool, gym, courts. Lots of good spaces for activities. Free parking which is good too! Some staff are a bit rude, slow and unprofessional though. You pay for the services, maybe they get too many people bothering them but it would be nice if the staff were more punctual and had better customer service. It’s also quite dirty here but there are a lot of people going in and out

I came in today to inquire about tennis lessons for my kid. As soon as we walked in, there was no one at reception as it was not busy. There is a button you can press to request assistance at the front desk, and as soon as I pressed it, an older lady came out looking clearly annoyed. I apologized because I hadn’t seen her before, but she said absolutely nothing, no greeting or acknowledgment. She silently went behind the desk and asked how she could help. I explained that I had seen the center offers tennis classes for children and wanted some information, such as whether I need to buy the rackets or if they are provided by the center. She replied that she “thought” the teacher provides them. Every other question I asked was answered in a way that made me feel like I was wasting her time. I then asked if I could see the court where the kids have their lessons, and again, with a very dismissive attitude, she said it wasn’t set up and there was no point. At this point I started to lose my patience with her attitude so I firmly asked again if I could see it anyway. Only then did she finally let me in. I have worked in hospitality for many years, including at the front desk of a leisure center, and I have never seen or experienced such poor customer service. If you are not happy at your work place, you just need to leave, there is no point and treat people badly, specially when you have never seen them before. As I was not offered to have a look around the center, I can only review the experience I had with this member of staff, the facilities seem to be in good condition.

Today I visited the soft play at Canons with my daughter, who has special educational needs (SEN). I was feeling really anxious about how she would cope, but Fatima made all the difference. She was so kind, patient, and understanding, and she immediately put us both at ease. Her warmth and compassion turned what I expected to be a stressful visit into such a lovely experience. As a parent of a child with additional needs, it means so much to be met with genuine understanding and kindness. Please pass on my heartfelt thanks to Fatima—she is a real credit to your team. We left feeling happy and supported, and we’ll definitely be back.

A huge shout-out to Jimmy at Canons Mitcham! Yesterday, Jimmy provided truly exceptional customer service while supporting our 6-a-side football match. On not one, but two occasions, he went out of his way to help us retrieve our footballs, and throughout it all, he never showed even the slightest hint of frustration. His positive attitude, willingness to help, and genuine kindness did not go unnoticed. In all our years of playing football there, Jimmy is without doubt one of the nicest gentlemen we have had the pleasure of meeting. People like Jimmy make a real difference, and he deserves the highest recognition for his outstanding customer service and professionalism. Thank you, Jimmy - it was an absolute pleasure to meet you. We truly appreciate your help and kindness. 🏆 The "World Cup Champions Award" for Customer Service goes to you, Sir! 🏆
