Our stay at Buchan House was exceptional from start to finish. George and Elena are genuinely wonderful hosts who made us feel incredibly welcome from the moment we arrived. Their warm hospitality and attention to every little detail really set this place apart. The breakfast was absolutely outstanding, fresh, delicious, and beautifully prepared. The house itself is spotless, comfortable, and immaculately maintained, with thoughtful touches throughout that make your stay feel special. Moffat is a fantastic town with so much to offer, especially if you enjoy walking, hiking, cycling, or simply exploring the beautiful Scottish countryside. Buchan House is the perfect base for discovering everything the area has to offer. We couldn't have asked for a better experience and will definitely be staying here again on our next visit. What a lovely place to stay. The hosts were extremely friendly, helpful, informative and kind. Nothing was too much trouble and they went above and beyond with the service. The house was beautiful, spotless and warm. We had a large tv in our room with every streaming facility you could wish for. The attention to detail is amazing, you can tell the hosts really care about their guests.

George and Elena were the best hosts and their house is beautiful. The room was big, the bed was the most comfortable one we found on our whole trip around Scotland, and the breakfast was incredible! This was also the cheapest accommodation we stayed at, and the best! You can’t get better than that! The bathroom, especially the shower, was small, but that’s standard for Scotland. Everything was impeccably clean and they had prepared a guide book of good local restaurants, places to hike to, etc. that was very helpful. The second-floor sitting room overlooks the street and park across the road, and has a nice vinyl collection, huge flat screen tv, and fireplace. We would plan another trip to just stay here the whole time, it was so nice!!

I honestly couldn't find a fault with this overnight stay. A warm welcome, immaculately clean and well presented. A comfortable large guest living room with large TV and a vinyl collection too! A short walk to pubs and eating places. An excellent breakfast. Highly recommended.
