Broughty Ferry Beach is found at the beginning of the Firth Of Tay/River Tay. A lovely stretch of beach starting at Broughty Ferry Castle up towards Monifieth. There are many areas to park near to the beach, starting from beside the castle walls and further up the road heading towards Monifieth. Access to the beach is easy, paths cut through the small sand dunes. These paths lead directly onto the beach. Be careful when paddling or swimming in the sea as rip tides and under-currents can catch you of guard at times. The weather too, can make the beach a bit breezy at times. If a wind or change in weather is coming from the North Sea, then the beach is open to the elements. But all in all, a popular beach for anyone to visit. Amazing views of the castle, the River Tay, Newport and Fife and out to sea.
