Greig House Farm is a detached cottage on a working farm in Monmouthshire, sleeping four across two bedrooms and one bathroom. One bedroom has a double bed, the other two singles. Downstairs, a kitchen with microwave, fridge and washing machine connects to a dining and living area centred on a wood burner set in a stone inglenook—logs are provided to get you started. The whole property is yours alone, with a lawned garden and sitting area outside, and parking on site.

This is borderland country. The Wye Valley, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, lies close by with walking and cycling through open countryside. The River Usk, known for salmon and trout fishing, is nearby. Pony trekking, clay pigeon shooting and hang gliding are all available locally. A shop and pub are within two miles. The cottage suits families and groups; one pet stays free. Low door frames and a pond in the adjacent field are things to be aware of. Bed linen, towels and Wi-Fi are included; heating comes from oil central heating and electric storage heaters.

Third time in this lovely cosy cottage. Clean, comfortable and well equipped. Normally very peaceful but renovations are currently taking place on two farm buildings just yards away so can be noisy Monday-Friday.

Downstairs is open space. Gets quite cool & dark in evening however oil heaters are available & stove can be lit which we did. Plenty of snuggle rugs available. Stairs are very steep so be mindful if you have any mobility issues. WiFi constantly dropped out so couldn't use our firestick. Builders next to cottage did stop upon our arrival which we were pleased about although tricky reversing car off drive. If you have dogs the garden is NOT secure so we used car to block garden off. Cottage is very remote pub & shop nearby were closed so we travelled to Abergavenny most days & beautiful Usk another day. Cottage is attached to owners property but we never saw them believe they were away. Views were spectacular with sheep & cows in surrounding fields.

Cosy, comfortable, well-equipped holiday cottage with WiFi. Helpful owner. Logs supplied for log-burner. Very rural location but convenient for visiting Hereford//Welsh border region.

Stayed here a week in February... Was a beautiful and quiet location! The house was so cozy and had amazing nights watching movies Infront of the fire! I recommend the local castles, visiting the Brecon beacons and the local market in Abergavenny. However the priory down the road was the start attraction!! Will definitely be staying again in the future!!
