The Outer Hebrides draw walkers, birdwatchers and photographers for good reason: white sand beaches, wild flowers, and regular sightings of golden eagles, corncrakes, whales and basking sharks. Altabrug sits on 8 acres of natural croft land, close enough to the shore for exploration on foot, and positioned to reach Eriskay for ferries to Barra, Harris and Lewis. The Uists themselves hold archaeological sites including the Bonnie Prince Charlie Trail and Kildonan Museum, plus Trinity Temple at Carnish.
The cottage is a single-storey detached property with two bedrooms (one double, one twin), one bathroom, and a living room with an open fire. The kitchen is equipped for self-catering, and there is a utility room with a washing machine. Bed linen, towels, Wi-Fi and electricity are included, along with initial fuel for the fire. A lawned garden, bike store and parking sit on the grounds. Children under 12 are not accommodated. Smoking is not permitted, though one pet may stay free of charge.
The nearest shop, pub and restaurant are 8 miles away by road. The beach lies a quarter-mile distant.
