The Nicolson House is a traditional croft dwelling in Lemreway, a village on the south of the Isle of Lewis where the landscape and way of life remain rooted in crofting practice. From the house you look across the water towards Eilean Liubhaird, the Shiant Islands, Skye and the mainland—the kind of outlook that doesn't require effort to appreciate. One dog is welcome here, though the surrounding countryside demands it stay on a lead.
The property sleeps six across three bedrooms: a double on the ground floor, and two rooms with single beds upstairs. There's also a sofa bed in a first-floor sitting room. The bathroom has a bath with shower over and heated towel rail; a separate toilet serves the ground floor. Downstairs you'll find a living room with open fire (logs provided), a kitchen/dining room equipped for proper cooking, and a utility room with washing machine. A sauna, enclosed garden with seating, and parking for two cars complete the setup. Bed linen, towels and wifi are included.
Lemreway sits within reach of the island's main draws: the Callanish Standing Stones, Gearrannan Blackhouse Village, Uig Bay and the Butt of Lewis Lighthouse are all accessible for day trips. The white sand beaches on Harris lie further south. Stornoway, the main town, is around 45 minutes away.
