08/05/2026:- me and my partner went here today for the public swim. We knew there would likely be quite a few kids there as it was after school hours but the fact that the “life guards” weren’t enforcing the rules that are clearly posted on the walls and signs is awful. Not only did I feel unsafe as a pregnant woman but the kids were unsafe as well. 1: kids where dive bombing where me and my partner were trying to swim, it says on signs that this isn’t allowed but the life guard right next to the area did nothing about it. One kid also dove into the deep end (which I’m aware is allowed) but didn’t wait until I had passed the area, as a result he almost kicked me. 2: “no pushing” is also a rule that’s clearly stated but the life guards just sat there and did nothing about the group of kids doing this over and over again. As I swimming passed, one of these kids were pushed and almost landed on me. 3: most of the kids that were in the deep end of the pool didn’t look old enough to be there without an adult present in the pool, with 2 of these kids clearly struggling to stay afloat at times. Again, life guards did nothing. Overall, the life guards just seemed incompetent, unable or just unwilling to do their jobs. This was a horrible and stressful experience and I hope this review gets taken into account and things change. The rules need to be enforced and taken seriously for the safety of everyone involved.

Used to be okay for a council run gym but gone down hill since last year. Pool temp hit and miss, constant issues with the sauna or stemroom. The last week both have been out of order and the pool cold. Called up this morning to ask if they were fixed before I went down today, was told the pool is now closed until July. No notification via the App and nothing on their website. The Gym is good though, alebit small.Bit of a shakedown you can't get membership for a swim/sauna it has to be the full package to get the health suite added.

Lovely pool for family swim fun with young children. Shame the vending machine only accepted cash, as the kids thought the world was ending but it's not like those machines hold the kind of snacks you really want them eating so... bringing our own next time. 😊

Amazing host for a fantastic new up and coming Roller Hockey Team. The Miner's. We train every Thursday night adults 9-10pm. Over 6 and youth on a Sunday 11-12. 16+ Sunday 12-1pm.
