About The Elephant at the Market
Newbury's Market Place is the setting for The Elephant at the Market, a historic inn placed right in the heart of the town centre. From here, shops, pubs and restaurants are all within easy walking distance, and the town's business districts and attractions are close by too, making it a practical base whether you're passing through or staying a while.
Rooms come with en-suite bathrooms and drinks available in-room, with family rooms on offer for those travelling together. Breakfast is served on-site, and there's a restaurant and bar for meals and drinks later in the day, plus outdoor seating for warmer weather. Free WiFi runs throughout, and reception is staffed around the clock. A genuinely useful extra for a town-centre property is free on-site parking.
Beyond the door, Newbury offers walking and cycling routes, golf and fishing nearby, and further entertainment, pubs and restaurants within reach. The surrounding area also has watersports on offer for those wanting to venture slightly further afield.
