About The Hatchet Inn Wetherspoon
The Hatchet Inn Wetherspoon occupies a pub building on Market Place in Newbury, the kind of solidly traditional town-centre local that Wetherspoon has converted into simple, affordable accommodation. Rooms sit above the bar itself, giving guests easy access to food and drink without needing to step outside.
Bedrooms are straightforward and budget-focused, each with an en-suite bathroom, air conditioning and free WiFi, and family rooms are available for those travelling with children. A drinks service in the room adds a small extra touch, and breakfast is served on site, making mornings easy before heading out into town. There's also a garden for guests who want to sit outside.
Newbury's Market Place puts guests within reach of the town's shops, pubs and restaurants, while the surrounding area offers golf, fishing, cycling routes and walking country for those wanting to get outdoors. Watersports are also available nearby for a more active day out. It's a no-frills base suited to travellers who want a central location and don't need luxury extras.
