The Stable is a converted farm building on Domvilles Farm, a working dairy operation in the countryside between Newcastle-under-Lyme and Stoke-on-Trent. The property is yours alone—two bedrooms, two bathrooms, ground floor throughout, sleeping four. Both bedrooms have four-poster double beds and en-suite bathrooms; one has a bath, the other a shower cubicle. A combined living and dining room with an electric fire opens onto a patio. The kitchen is equipped for self-catering, with an electric cooker, microwave and fridge. An external utility room (shared with another on-site property) holds a freezer, washing machine and tumble dryer. Wi-Fi, electricity, bed linen and parking for two cars are included. The property is non-smoking.
The farm sits within reach of several attractions: Newcastle-under-Lyme is about 7 miles away; Keele University 4 miles; Alton Towers, Chester, Ironbridge Gorge and the Peak District are all within reasonable driving distance. Locally, a shop, pub and restaurant are roughly 2 miles off. The Churnet Valley Steam Railway, Whitmore Hall and nearby villages offer quieter alternatives. A train station with connections to Birmingham, Manchester and London is accessible from here. Arrival is after 15:00; departure before 10:00.

We have stayed here a number of times now, each time in the “Pig St, a converted barn. The location is lovely and ideal for visiting the local universities. The hosts are amazing, incredibly welcoming and helpful. It’s a working farm that is in some beautiful countryside. It’s very close to the M6, not that you would notice sound wise, and only a short drive into the Newcastle under Lyme town center.

Absolutely gorgeous courtyard that the cottages are situated off. The cottage itself was beautiful too will recommend and would use again. We went as a family of four with a dog. The farm the cottages are situated on is a working farm and can be noisy at times but don't let that put you off!

What a great place. We did a Monday to Friday break here. Everything was there that you could need. Eileen was very helpful. We found we had no hot water on our first night, but they were straight over to sort it out. You have to be aware that this is a working farm with tractors and cow's and noise, it didn't bother us at all, but just remember you get the sound's and smells to go with it. Dog friendly was such a bonus. Would definitely stay again.
