Great North Getaways, at 190 Portland Road in Newcastle, is the perfect base for exploring the city. The top-floor apartment, was ideal for our family of five. It featured two double bedrooms with smart TVs, a sofa bed, a spacious open-plan lounge-diner, and a modest sized kitchen. The location is excellent. We were literally within a 20-minute walk to key attractions like the Quayside, city centre, and St. James’ Park. Despite its centrality, the area remains peaceful yet lively. Free on-site parking (locked garage) and Wi-Fi added to the convenience, especially for teenage kids. Host Jared really stood out for his warm hospitality, offering helpful recommendations for local dining, attractions, and pubs. His attentive service enhanced the welcoming atmosphere of the stay. The bottled water and chocolates were a lovely touch too. I can't imagine we will ever stay anywhere else when next we visit. Great North Getaways provides a comfortable, well-located, and family-friendly accommodation option in Newcastle. Oh and did I say it's modestly priced too!

I stayed for a period of 5 months in one of Jared’s apartments. For the entirety of my stay, Jared was very accommodating and generous. Communication was easy, the apartment was gorgeous and professionally cleaned. I would recommend to anyone that is either visiting Newcastle for a short stay or has to stay in Newcastle for business for a long period of time.

Stayed at Jared’s property this year visiting from New Zealand. Couldn’t have been happier with the stay, close to everything you could possibly need, immaculately kept, rooms were spacious and well set out. Can’t speak highly enough of Jared himself, showed us around a few places that he recommended and then sent us on our way to the best restaurant in town. Absolute legend of a host! Don’t look anywhere else in Newcastle if you’re staying, book here!

This is truly top class accommodation! The place is clean and has all the facilities you will ever need for an enjoyable stay. The host, Jared, is very friendly and will truly go out of his way to make sure you have an enjoyable stay.
