I last visited the Inicorn 20 years ago and was happy to visit again. The Unicorn is living history we must preserve. An interesting visit to get the feel of an early 19c ship. Much to see-albeit the upper deck exhibits could do with thinning out, but obviously much effort goes rightly into preserving. Friendly helpful staff. Note the lower decks ceilings are very low but they do provide hard hats. Lots of canon !!

A beautiful and fascinating ship to visit. I loved that you could go around all the decks into all the nooks and crannies, I'm about 5ft 7 (172cm) and on the lowest deck I had to walk knees bent and fully bent over at the waist the ceiling is that low! I really enjoyed that you can touch a lot of the items and bits of the boat. I gave the ships bell a ring....a lot louder then I was anticipating!! Lovely friendly staff and interesting displays.

A fantastic visit. Unicorn is a one of a kind ship - having seen more than 200 years of service in the Royal Navy, Royal Naval Reserve and finally in her current condition as a preserved museum ship. Full of information, history and intrigue. Wonderful staff and volunteers as well - Jonas is a fantastic source of information on the ship and it's various exploits. The people who work onboard this vessel very clearly love their ship and her history. It's refreshing to see that sort of passion in today's world. Thank you. 5+ stars

Absolutely wonderful ship with great history, only bad part about it is that the outside is in a pretty poor state but the inside is very nice, even if some damage from outside can be seen on the inside. The lowest deck of the ship was wonderful to see as, while I had to lean down almost at a 90 degree angle due to being quite tall, it was still very interesting to see where the supplies and ballast and powder would have been stored. I don't recommend going into the lowest deck if you have a bad back as you have to bend down quite a lot and in the second lowest deck you will only have to bend down of you are tall, all the other decks you don't have to bend down in. The price was also very reasonable at only 12 pounds and a bit for a student and a child. Would have been around 21 pounds had we been a adult, a student and a child. Overall absolutely wonderful ship and I will definitely be coming back when I have more time.
