What visitors say
Cineworld Newport is always a solid choice for a film night. Easy to get to, plenty of screens, staff are friendly enough, and there’s usually something weird and wonderful in the lobby to stare at before the film. This visit included a Toy Story 5 display, which was cute, and a standee for a film from Glitch Productions, which gave me a tiny personal jumpscare for reasons I will not be unpacking in a Google review. Let’s just say the lore is there if you know where to look. Overall, good cinema, decent atmosphere, and enough promotional cardboard to make you feel like you’ve accidentally wandered into several different emotional subplots before the trailers even start. Would go again.

Very clean and tidy but it was so hot! No air-conditioning other than in the toilet which was lovely and cool. Paired with a toddler sat on my knee it made a very sweaty experience. Every other cinema I have been to has been freezing! Probably will avoid now especially with children as even my 4 year old was dripping sat in her own seat.

I haven’t been to the cinema for years but we decided a date was in order and went to see ‘Michael’ last week. I was a bit confused as I had bluelight which wasn’t the easiest to purchase the tickets through but thankfully we had a super helpful staff member help us to sort it. Malcolm was so lovely and truly went above and beyond in making our cinema trip enjoyable. He even told us a few things we didn’t know about being able to bring babies to the cinema and what times would be best if we chose to do that - he is a credit to your team and a truly lovely gentleman. We thoroughly enjoyed the film, the screen was the perfect size and very comfortable too. We won’t wait 4years for the next trip!

ALWAYS pre book online to save yourself money however, watch out for the additional £1 card transaction fee per person. I found a family of 4 ticket worked out cheaper than 3 separate tickets so saved over £15 by doing it that way. Great selection of munchies available but be warned, experience even for a small popcorn.

Visitors say this cinema offers comfortable seating, including reclining and 4DX options, and features great screens. They also highlight the friendly and helpful staff, the ability to bring in outside food and drinks, and the ample free parking.
Some reviews mention the cinema can be overpriced.
