Funky Monkeys Spytty Newport

Spent an afternoon here and my kids had the best time! First of all the staff were extremely welcoming upon entering the centre. This centre was perfect for my 3yr old and 5yr old as you can see all through the frame as they’re off playing making it easy to keep an eye on them. They have a wide range of cakes and drinks I highly recommend the Victoria sponge cake. The centre itself was clean as the girls working were constantly tidying tables and making sure everything was okay. We will definitely be back and are even thinking about getting a membership it’s now my kids favourite place! 🤩

Funky Monkeys Newport Spytty: A Rave Review! 🤩 This is the best place for children in Newport, Wales. The staff are friendly and welcoming, and it truly is the best in Newport. If you haven't brought your kids here, you've missed out on a lot of fun! There are also dedicated areas for toddlers aged two and three. They offer hot drinks and special children's juices, and their prices are competitive. I'd like to thank the owner and congratulate them on their staff. This place is a source of pride for this wonderful business. I highly recommend visiting this beautiful centre. The children had a fantastic time.

DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY - VISIT INNOFLATE JUST OVER THE ROAD! We visited today with my 11 year old son and 11 month old baby. I thought my eldest would enjoy spending some time in the baby area with his brother whilst I'm sat in there with them. I was told my 11 year old son wasn't allowed to play on the soft play (absolutely fine, it's meant for under 8s) and he wasn't allowed to supervise my 11 month old, also fine as I was there doing that. However the staff asked my son not to sit in the baby play area and the only place he was allowed to sit was at the table because 'he is not insured' Apparently if you are age 9-15 you aren't even allowed to sit with a sibling whilst they play with an adult. My son was made to feel excluded and not welcome. I pointed out that what would happen if I was 13, 14, 15 years old with a baby? The staff to my horror advised they wouldn't allow the mother or father to enter the soft play as according to their policy they wouldn't be old enough to supervise THEIR OWN CHILD! Coupled with a stroppy young member of staff We definitely will not be visiting again, which is a shame because I spent many of times visiting with my eldest when he was younger. The soft play wasn't clean, the food and drinks are extortionate and now knowing their policy the whole place is a disgrace. The manager suggested INNOFLATE just across the road and gave me a refund. We went to innoflate which was amazing - £2 for the brand new soft play, clean and quiet with tables to have food, any ages allowed on the soft play. My eldest could go on the climbing wall and a coffee and cake was £5! (A caramel coffee at Funky Monkeys was £4.30!) Innoflate also had longer parking, cheaper and better food options and an arcade. I will be emailing Funky Monkeys directly to enquire about the policies in place. This is not customer friendly nor family friendly.

Definitely not going back. The toilet smelt like piss. The food was not of good value, bought a kiddies pizza and it was nasty, crust was burnt, pizza was tasteless…. My toddler did not eat this and that’s considering how much he loves pizza. The play area for toddlers has absolutely nothing worth going for. Ended up using the 3-8 zone which really did not have much of anything to be honest. Parents were in the play area with no socks on which is definitely not hygienic. This was a complete let down!!!
