About Whipsiderry Hotel
Whipsiderry Hotel occupies a solid, traditional building on Trevelgue Road in Newquay, the kind of place built for long stays by the sea. It's set up as a proper family and group hotel, with en-suite bedrooms, a bar and restaurant, and an outdoor swimming pool in the garden for warmer days spent close to home.
Guests get breakfast and the option of a packed lunch, drinks brought to the room, and free on-site parking for those arriving by car. The garden includes outdoor seating, and the hotel also has a bridal suite for weddings, along with 24 hour reception and luggage storage for guests coming and going. Pets are welcome, making it a straightforward option for those travelling with dogs.
The coastal paths and beaches around Newquay are within easy reach, and the surrounding area offers golf, fishing, cycling routes, watersports and walking country, plus nearby pubs and entertainment for evenings out. It's a hotel built around simple comforts rather than extras, with the coastline doing much of the work.

Great beach, you have to walk down some very steep steps to get down there as it walks down the cliff (and you have to walk back up them later) but its well worth it. You get some great scenery, a quieter beach and really good rock formations and caves you can explore once the tide goes out

Newquay has lots of very nice beaches, however, my personal favourites is this one. Especially after lunch when the tide goes back retrieving in and making the place accessible for walk accross. Then you can explore, see the stone formations, caves and enjoy a absolutely massive beach. The water was really shallow, so you really need to go in to get a decent depth, however, I found it safe to leave my stuff and enjoy swimming.

A small cottage right by the harbour at Portloe. No garden and steep narrow stairs might not suit some, but a lovely location. We spent a happy week here.

Fantastic beach! One of the best in Cornwall. The path down is very steep but it is 100% worth it. It is dog friendly and great for swimming. The cliffs are unstable so keep at least 50ft away at all times. There are many cool places to climb but would not recommend exploring the caves for safety reasons. It's not busy and a great place to spend a couple of hours. There is room for about 3 cars on the road in front of the path but you can easily park down by Porth Beach and walk about 5 minutes up the hill.
