What visitors say
So I have had a very difficult upbringing with disabilities and trauma as a child growing up and was in the care system. I then had behavioural problems when I was 13 /15 years old which then led me to being a little ‘tinker ‘ I then got consequences which was being banned from the town centre . Unfortunately the experiences I have had now as a adult I am now 22 years of age and have changed my life around there is a couple of things that has happened over the few months I moved back to live here in my home town out of care . But tonight I was waiting for the bus at about 7:30 pm it was really cold and I asked the people in reception at the Leslie centre if I could sit in with nmy baby who is months old as it is very cold whilst waiting for the bus they still wouldn’t let me in and refused to have me and my daughter inside I find this appalling and as professionals should be understanding of my past experiences growing up and be understanding of how much I have changed in not only myself but for others around me . Very disappointed in the way this has been felt with tonight . Very . So sad to have had to write this also as I’m not normally a one for criticism but , this was not appropriate at all especially when there is a baby involved .. and I will be speaking to my support staff about this incident too . Many thanks Rachael .
