About Holiday Inn Darlington North A1m Jct 59
Darlington sits at a useful crossing point between the North Pennines, the Yorkshire Dales and the city of Durham, making it a practical base for exploring the wider region, and the Holiday Inn Darlington North A1M Jct 59 takes advantage of that position with a spot right by the motorway junction. It's a straightforward, no-fuss stop for anyone travelling by car, with free on-site parking removing one of the usual hassles of a road trip.
The hotel has 80 rooms spread across three floors, including family rooms and accessible options, all with en-suite bathrooms and drinks in the room. A lift serves all floors, and there's room service alongside the usual business travel needs such as meeting rooms. Pets are welcome, which is worth knowing if you're bringing the dog along for a Dales walk.
On site there's a restaurant and bar, a snack bar, and breakfast is available, with packed lunches and kids' meals catered for too. A gym gives the option of a workout before heading out, and laundry and luggage storage are on hand for longer stays. Further pubs and restaurants sit nearby for those who fancy a change of scene, and from here Durham and the Yorkshire Dales are both within easy driving distance.
People say this hotel offers clean, modern, and spacious rooms with comfortable beds, and a good restaurant and bar on-site. They also highlight the friendly and helpful staff, convenient parking, and excellent location just off the A1M.
