Applegarth House

Applegarth House is a five-bedroom detached property that accommodates up to 11 guests, making it suited to larger family groups or friends gathering for an extended stay. The house spreads across three floors with a games room featuring a pool table and Xbox, multiple living spaces, and enough bedrooms to give everyone their own sleeping arrangements. One dog is welcome at no extra cost.

The ground floor centres on a substantial kitchen with range cooker and dining space, plus a sitting room with multi-fuel burner and garden access. Upstairs are four bedrooms, including a master with dressing area and en-suite, alongside a family bathroom and the games room. The top floor holds a further bedroom and bathroom. Three bathrooms across the property means less queuing in the mornings. Wi-Fi, heating, electricity, bed linen and towels are all included; the utility room has a washing machine for longer visits.

Outside, a lawned garden with patio furniture surrounds a six-person hot tub. Parking for four cars sits on-site, and a bike store is available. The property is 90 minutes or so by car from the Lake District, and Durham itself is close by for its cathedral and market. No smoking indoors.
