Whitecairn Holiday Park

Love whitecairn holiday park. Wanted 2 nights to shut off and relax! Our lodge pond view 8 was stunning. Had everything you need! Hot tub is amazing. We really didnt want to come home but we will most certainly be back 👍 big shout out to the maintenance man he was so helpful friendly.

First time staying at Whitecairn Holiday Park. As part of family members birthday. Check In was from 16:00. Upon arrival at reception we received a warm welcome. And were given a map of the site. And additional information such as nearby beaches. The warden came shortly after we arrived at our lodge. And showed us around the lodge. And how to operate the hot tub. WiFi was included on the site. And was easy to connect to. With a good connection and speeds. The lodge was fantastic. Spacious and comfortable. The hotub was excellent. Perfect temperature easy to operate. Additional lighting around the hot tub area. Outdoor furniture was plentiful. A large outdoor table with chairs next to the hot tub. With a smaller table on the decking area at the front. We stayed in Pondview 3. Recycling bins located around the site. A launderette with male and female toilets and showers. Located beside reception. The location was an excellent base. With the nearest town Stranraer being 20 minutes away. With a Lidl, Morrisons and Tesco. The dogs were fascinated with watching the ducks. Would definitely recommend a stay here. And would definitely return to stay again.

I have to say a massive thank you to Whitecairn Holiday Park and all the staff. The Holiday home was fabulous, clean and well resourced. Updated TV and all the amenities that any family needs with young children. Hot tub was fabulous and the location beautiful. However whilst there I was there I unfortunately got a flat tyre and my insurance company handled this terribly. I ended up almost stranded with 2 young children one of which required medication for an ongoing condition. The Holiday park went above and beyond! They first agreed to a later check out free of charge, then they offered an additional stay free of charge, they even offered to drive us to the nearest form of public transport. They fed us and gave us drinks whilst waiting around and did all they could to support whilst I waited for my onward travel. I cannot thank them enough as a single mum, with young children and a friend who also has medical ailments. It was beautiful to see that the decency and care of basic humans still exists. Internally grateful!

Lodge was lovely. Hot tub was great too. Weather let us down a bit but couldnt fault the lodge or service we recieved. Adrian was a lovely guy who assisted us with a minor problem. We went to Port Patrick which looked like it would be a lovely wee place if the weather had been better. Not much to do on site to be fair so be prepared to travel to the surrounding areas. Glenluce has nothing in it either. There is a wee shop/store for anything you run out of but nothing else. Our last night the sky's were clear and the stars were out in force which was lovely. A good base if you want to explore this part of Scotland.
