About Castaways Holiday Park
On the lookout for a proper seaside pitch? Castaways Holiday Park in Bacton delivers direct beach access via a handy path, with miles of sandy strand unfurling in both directions. Stroll the coastal route to Mundesley (two miles) or Walcott (a mile and a half), pausing for ice cream along the way. This is the Deep History Coast, so fossil hunters might fancy a trip to West Runton, about 25 minutes by car.
Families appreciate the fenced play area and arcade-style games room stocked with air hockey and grab machines, while the on-site shop covers holiday basics. The Cliff Top Inn serves traditional pub grub for those nights you'd rather not cook, and there's a launderette to keep the beach towels fresh. Dogs are welcome year-round, and barbecues are allowed if you prefer to grill your own.
Some visitors note the site can feel a touch tired in places, but the unbeatable beach access and genuinely useful amenities—WiFi included—keep guests coming back. Four-legged friends and outdoor feasts both get the thumbs-up here.

What visitors say
We stayed in the accessible lodge for a week in June as a couple. The Lodge itself was nice, the bed was comfy and it was quite well equipped. The wet room was another plus as someone who needs to sit down when showering, it was nice to find this in accommodation away from home. A few things they could improve on would be having more pots, pans and trays to use aswell as cooking utensils. There were enough for 2 but I wouldnt have liked to try to cook for 6-8 as the Lodge can house that many people. The sofas were quite hard and became uncomfortable after a few hours of sitting on them. Towels and tea towels also aren't included but they let us know ahead of time so this was fine. WiFi wasn't included and was £16 for the week which wasn't too bad however it wasn't very strong. I used 4g most of the week for streaming TV etc. And we were warned their WiFi wouldnt stream, improving this would go a long way even if its still paid for. Check out is at 9.30 which is quite early, offering late checkout where possible would be great. Overall, it was a very nice and clean Lodge that covered my needs as someone with chronic illness. I unfortunately wasn't well enough to go and visit the pub during my stay but heard the carvery is lovely too! The staff seemed very friendly and happy to help with any issues aswell. I would recommend the site and the Lodge we stayed in and would definitely stay again.

This is a brilliant Holiday Park, with great views, nice staff, and Amazing Owner's, That even includes Richard! The food here is amazing, certainly fills my belly! I've had so much fun going here over the years, since I'm friends with the Owner's Son, known him for 6 Years, This place is just Great all round, couldn't recommend anything Better than this! Plus it has some enjoyable events around the year which can be quite Fun! So if you're need a place to go relax and have some fun, Castaways is your go to!

Never again ! Such a disappointment caravan was filthy and it smelt so bad the bedding was so discoloured the microwave was rust which is a major health hazard carpets and floor wow they not seen a good clean in a long time they was black aswell and chairs ect . ( other on site said same too about theirs) we left early but if wasn’t for not wanting to ruin the children’s holiday we would of left on the first day , the pub well staff was so rude and unwelcoming they sit drinking very unprofessional was such a shame as we was looking forward to this break would not recommend and won’t be back such a shame as it could be such a nice place if some love was put into it
