About The Old Vicarage Campsite
The Broads, the beaches, buzzy Norwich – whatever's lured you to Norfolk, this spacious farm site near Acle puts you close to all three. Set on two acres at the edge of the Broads National Park, The Old Vicarage keeps numbers deliberately low so everyone has room to spread out. It's a relaxed, pick-your-own-pitch setup where families can cluster together or lone campers can stake out a quieter corner.
Kids, dogs, groups, barbecues – almost anything goes here. 'Bernie Brazier' firepits are provided for campfire cooking and warmth, and you can pitch awnings, string up badminton nets or settle in for the evening however you like. Cars stay in the car park to keep the site peaceful (wheelbarrows provided for hauling gear, or occasionally tired children).
Facilities are simple but sufficient: showers, composting loos, washing-up area, ice-pack freezing and a communal freezer. Twenty minutes gets you to Norwich or the Norfolk coast; the Broads' canoeing, fishing and sailing are right on the doorstep.

Had everything we needed. Good showers, well maintained pitches, USB charging, drinking water. Very quiet as surrounded by farmland. Bernie, the owner, gave lots of good advice on local area and places to eat. Will definitely stay here again if we pass the area.

This is an amazing campsite. We have been coming for years and hope to continue coming every year. The owner is friendly and helpful, the site is well keep and looked after. The site doesnt allow cars on the camping ground so this is great for my children who can run around and play safely. Camp fires are allowed and there is a beautiful sunset to watch.

We just enjoyed a fantastic stay at the campsite. Spotlessly clean facilities and lovely spacious pitches. We enjoyed the freedom of setting up where we fancied and not being restricted to marked areas. Lots of space for privacy and ball games etc. Great to be able to have an open fire (for cooking on too). Lots to do near by and the most beautiful scenery. Thank you Bernie. We’ll be back. 😊

4th time visiting with our 2 children. The facilities are great - nice and clean, showers are now covered but you still get a al fresco feel, plenty of hot water, USB charging, freezer for ice packs. Great braziers free of charge, lots of space for ball games and plenty of space for a family tent and gazebo. Very chilled vibe. We’ll be back!
