The Potting Shed

Clyde Muirshiel Regional Park spreads across North Ayrshire's landscape, a pocket of Scotland's west coast with Largs within reach for seaside days. The Potting Shed sits at the heart of 400 acres here, a restored house built for groups looking to gather rather than slip away quietly. It sleeps 12 across six bedrooms, each with its own bathroom, and comes as an entire property to yourselves—no shared spaces, no neighbours within earshot.

The house works hard for a crowd. A kitchen fitted with an Aga, separate electric oven, two ovens' worth of cooking space, wine fridge and twin dishwashers means feeding a dozen is straightforward rather than frantic. The dining room has an open fire for formal meals; the snug takes board games and conversation. Two handcrafted baths—one freestanding wooden, one copper and nickel—plus a hot tub handle the morning queues. A games room and children's play area keep ages occupied without anyone decamping to separate corners of the house. Outside, the grounds are open and fully enclosed, with lawns for gathering and space to move.

Electricity, bed linen and towels are included. A pub sits within a mile. The property is non-smoking throughout. Arrive after 4pm, depart before 10am.
