West Mains Barn

West Mains Barn is a converted farm building that marries its rural heritage with contemporary design. A spiral staircase curves through the open-plan ground floor, where living, dining and kitchen spaces flow together beneath a vaulted ceiling. Upstairs, a mezzanine bedroom looks out across farmland. The kitchen is fully equipped for cooking, and there's a shower room on the ground floor. Essentials including electricity, Wi-Fi, bed linen and towels are covered.

The property sleeps two adults. An enclosed garden with seating area and gas barbecue opens from the living space, and a private two-person hot tub sits beyond. One car can park on the grounds. The setting is genuinely rural—neighbouring farms keep Highland cattle, sheep and vintage vehicles. Kilbirnie and Glasgow are both accessible for days out, as are Ayrshire's walking trails, cycle routes, beaches and golf courses. The house is not suitable for children under 12, and smoking is not permitted. Note that the internal staircase is steep and spiral.
