Secret Skies is a single-bedroom glamping pod built as a contemporary open-plan space, designed for two people to have the whole place to themselves. The structure combines living, dining and sleeping in one room, with a separate shower room, so everything is on the ground floor and easily accessible. A kingsize bed sits centrally to frame the countryside views, facing a smart TV; the kitchen has a two-ring hob, microwave and under-counter fridge arranged around a breakfast bar; and the shower room is fitted with a cubicle, heated towel rail and toilet. Electricity, bed linen, towels and Wi-Fi are included.

Outside, an enclosed garden wraps around the pod with garden furniture, a firepit that doubles as a barbecue, and a private hot tub. The location is rural—between South Molton and Tiverton on a small farm—with views across fields and towards Exmoor. Walkers can head straight onto the moors from the property, and Exmoor National Park is a short drive. South Molton market town is 11 miles away; the village of Rackenford, with a local shop, is 3 miles. On-site parking fits 2 cars. No smoking. This is adult-only accommodation, and one well-behaved pet is welcome.

We had the most wonderful stay at Secret Skies and I honestly do not think I have ever experienced a view like this from a glamping cabin before. Waking up to endless views across the downs was breathtaking, with horses grazing nearby and rolling countryside stretching as far as the eye could see. The hot tub was a real highlight, perfectly positioned with the same uninterrupted view you wake up to from bed, making it hard to leave at any point of the day. The sense of privacy was exceptional. There was no need to close the curtains or feel overlooked at any time, and the fully enclosed garden made it completely dog friendly and stress free. Every amenity you could possibly need had been thoughtfully provided, with clear attention to detail throughout the cabin. The hosts were outstanding and genuinely could not do enough for us, nothing felt like too much trouble. Parking was ample, the location was easy to find, and there were gorgeous walks straight from the doorstep. Having animals on site added to the magic, especially the beautiful horses and sheep nearby. If you are looking for absolute privacy, stunning views, and a truly special place to switch off, this is it.

Stunning views and perfect for a romantic getaway. The pod is tiny but has everything you’d need, good coffee, equipped kitchen and lots of small details which made a huge difference (dressing gowns, slippers, blankets, marshmallows etc) The hot tub was amazing and had few settings of intensity and lighting for the evening. Nice fire pit with a table and chairs outside for quiet dinners. You get full privacy and a magnificent view from the pod/garden. We did not take the dog with us as I wasn’t sure, but there is an enclosed garden to keep your dog safe and beautiful surroundings for long walks. The pod was clean and everything decorated with taste. The town is not far for any food collection and not far as well to the coast. The only suggestion would be to change the check-in/checkout times. You have to check in after 4 pm and check out before 10 am which is a pity. I understand the hotel with 100+ rooms needs this time in between to clean the rooms, but there are just 2 pods and no need to take all of this time. We stayed 2 nights, but for anyone who would book just one night, it’s no value for money as no time to enjoy the hot tub, views and time for relaxation. Other than that, everything was perfect and was nice to be greeted by Alex when we arrived even just for a minute, nice of the owners to offer full privacy to their guests.

A very relaxing and private weekend away. My partner and I stayed for 2 Nights in February and we would definitely go back. The setting is on a lovely small holding on the edge of Exmoor which was very quiet and had beautiful views across fields without being overlooked. Everything was finished to a high quality including the hot tub, and being provided robes and slippers was a lovely extra. The hosts had great communication and we were happy to come and go as we pleased.

The most wonderful stay. A perfect, romantic getaway for two! The private hot tub looking over the stunning landscape, the cutest farm animals (the lambs being a personal favourite) and gorgeous walks wherever you go. We couldn’t fault a single thing and we can’t wait to make another trip.
