The Mill House

Built nearly two centuries ago, The Mill House is a three-bedroom cottage in a North Devon village, with the character you'd expect from a period property and the practicalities that make a stay actually work. It sleeps five across bedrooms on the first floor, where views across the garden and towards rolling countryside come as standard. The ground floor divides between a kitchen and dining space in one direction, and a sitting room in the other, with the log burner doing real work on colder nights.
The kitchen comes fully equipped for self-catering: dishwasher, large fridge-freezer, microwave and proper cooking space around a substantial farmhouse table. Upstairs, the master bedroom has a king bed, a TV for mornings in, and storage; the second bedroom converts between a double or twin setup; the third is a single. The family bathroom includes both a separate bath and power shower. Electricity, bed linen and towels are included. The enclosed garden faces south and opens onto countryside views; the village church spire is visible in one direction. Non-smokers only.
Lee Beach sits within reach for coastal walks, and the property's location puts you between Ilfracombe's developed seafront and the quieter inland villages of North Devon. The rural setting means you'll need a car for most purposes.

Best holiday cottage and location. Close to a great pub and fantastic walks along the coastal paths. Great for dogs and cold water dip roll on January

This place had a great view of the beach and delicious scones... Coupled with a pot of tea. It was awesome. This part of the world is beautiful but you should definitely stop here for cake. 😂

I stayed here with my wife and children in '02 or '03. Fantastic place. Collected driftwood from the rocks after a storm for the open fire. Only problem? There was someone else in the rear bedroom, usually just a feeling, but seen once. I'd still go back though
