Families and groups of up to six will find The Old Ballroom works well—three bedrooms (two doubles and one twin), two bathrooms, all on a single level, and nothing to negotiate but your own front door. The apartment occupies the ground floor of what was once a grand Victorian ballroom, now converted into a coastal home that keeps its period bones: high ceilings, original cornicing and ceiling rose, tall sash windows. A balcony runs along the rear elevation, positioned high enough to catch views over the gardens and out towards Tunnels Beaches and the sea.
The kitchen is properly equipped for self-catering, with an electric oven, hob, dishwasher and microwave. The main living space is the lounge-diner, bright from the sash windows and balcony doors. One bathroom has a walk-in shower; the other a bath with overhead shower. Bed linen, towels, wi-fi and electricity are all included. The property is non-smoking.
Ilfracombe's harbour sits within walking distance, and a pub is less than a mile away. The North Devon coast is immediate—good for anyone wanting a base to explore the beaches and coastal paths without being stuck in a car.
