The ground floor kitchen is fully fitted for cooking—oven, hob, dishwasher and all the smaller kit you might need. The bathroom, with its spa bath and shower, is also down here. Upstairs, one bedroom has a kingsize bed, the other two singles; both have televisions. A shower room completes the first floor.

The cottage sits on a working farm, so the setting is genuinely rural. You have an enclosed garden with patio and furniture, plus parking for two cars on site. One dog is welcome at no extra cost. Essentials like heating, electricity, bed linen and towels are covered, and there's wifi throughout. No smoking inside. The nearest shop is four miles away, a pub three miles, and restaurants from five miles; Bakewell is under thirty minutes' drive. Walks start from the doorstep, and within ten miles you'll find Chatsworth House, Bolsover Castle and Hardwick Hall.
