North East Derbyshire sits on the edge of the Peak District, with Chesterfield's crooked spire marking the gateway to some of England's finest walking country. West Barn is a converted stone building positioned between the market town and the hills themselves, giving you quick access to both. A stream runs alongside the grounds, which slope down from the property; the enclosed garden has seating, a barbecue, and space to breathe.
Inside are four bedrooms sleeping eight: a kingsize with ensuite shower, two further kingsizes, and a twin with television. Two bathrooms serve the rest of the house. The ground floor holds the living space—wood burner, television and music equipment—and a kitchen with the usual cooking appliances plus dishwasher and washing machine. Bed linen, towels and wifi are included; heating comes from oil-fired central heating with underfloor warming on the ground floor, and fuel for the wood burner is included initially. Car parking for four is on site, and a bike store is provided.
Chatsworth House, Haddon Hall and Bolsover Castle are all within ten miles. Bakewell, Matlock Bath and the Crich tramway museum lie in the same radius. Walton Golf Club is two miles away. The property is for holiday use only, and smoking is not permitted. Travel cot and highchair are available if needed.
