Sixty acres of countryside surround Birchdale Lodges, a working farm where alpacas graze and guests can walk woodland trails. George Lodge is a detached cottage on this rural estate, a short drive from Lincoln and Newark. The whole property is yours alone, with parking for three cars and direct access to the grounds.
Everything is on one floor. The living room has a 50-inch TV and opens onto a lawned garden with terrace and barbecue. The kitchen is fully equipped for cooking, with oven, dishwasher and washing machine. A separate games room contains a snooker table, table tennis, dartboard and Nintendo Wii. One bedroom has a double bed, the other has two singles, and there is one bathroom with bath and shower. Heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and Wi-Fi are included. Your dog has the run of an enclosed field on-site.
Lincoln's cathedral, castle and Christmas market lie nearby; Newark Showground, famous for antique fairs, is about ten minutes away. The Bailgate shopping area and Brayford Wharf are within reach. Good walks and cycle routes start from the property, and golf courses sit in the local area. A shop is three miles away; the nearest pub and restaurant are a mile and a half. No smoking is permitted indoors.

Had a weekend here with my daughter and her 2 dogs for abit if adult time . Stayed in oscar lodge .Beautiful lodge has everything you need for your stay . Had a lovely box of chocolate biscuits left for us and treats for the dogs. Very quite and beautiful surroundings with a bertie playpen for dogs definitely used by us and then onto the woodland walk. Excellent place to stay .would definitely stay again.

Such a lovely week away in Humphrey Basil Lodge. Spotlessly clean, everything you need and a lovely easter egg and cakes left for our arrival. The alpacas are beautiful and the other wildlife. Would highly recommend and will definitely be returning.

We have stayed here twice, first at Oscar Lodge and then Winston Lodge. Very nicely decorated and the accommodation is exceptionally clean, well laid out and comfortable. The site is very quiet even though the main A46 road is only a short distance away making it easy to get to both Newark and Lincoln. There is plenty of onsite parking behind an electric gate and the lodges are a short walk away from the parking area. The owner is very helpful if you have a problem. If you have a dog Birchdale Lodges is an ideal place to stay. Don't believe the 1 star review, check his review history and you will see he often leaves 1 star reviews. We wouldn't hesitate to stay again and have recommended it many times.

Loved our stay at Oscar Lodge, already booked 3 lodges to return with family next year. Beatiful lodges, very clean and well equipped with everything you'd need. My only suggestion is some hooks in the hall for hanging coats, especially if it's raining.
