Oscar Lodge is a detached holiday home on a 60-acre working farm near Lincoln. You get two bedrooms and one bathroom, arranged across a whole property to yourself. Walking in means a garden with seating and a barbecue for outdoor meals, plus private parking for three cars. The essentials—heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and wifi—come as standard.
The farm setting means genuine countryside rather than a suburban plot. Woodland walks loop around the grounds, and there's a field where dogs can run free. Alpacas graze nearby, which children tend to remember. You're 1½ miles from a pub and restaurant, with shops 3 miles away. Lincoln itself is a short drive—it has the cathedral and castle, plus the Brayford Wharf area for an evening out. Newark Showground's antique fairs are about 10 minutes away. Walking and cycling routes start from the gates, and golf courses are within reach. A pond on the grounds means children need supervising. Smoking is not permitted.

Had a weekend here with my daughter and her 2 dogs for abit if adult time . Stayed in oscar lodge .Beautiful lodge has everything you need for your stay . Had a lovely box of chocolate biscuits left for us and treats for the dogs. Very quite and beautiful surroundings with a bertie playpen for dogs definitely used by us and then onto the woodland walk. Excellent place to stay .would definitely stay again.

Such a lovely week away in Humphrey Basil Lodge. Spotlessly clean, everything you need and a lovely easter egg and cakes left for our arrival. The alpacas are beautiful and the other wildlife. Would highly recommend and will definitely be returning.

We have stayed here twice, first at Oscar Lodge and then Winston Lodge. Very nicely decorated and the accommodation is exceptionally clean, well laid out and comfortable. The site is very quiet even though the main A46 road is only a short distance away making it easy to get to both Newark and Lincoln. There is plenty of onsite parking behind an electric gate and the lodges are a short walk away from the parking area. The owner is very helpful if you have a problem. If you have a dog Birchdale Lodges is an ideal place to stay. Don't believe the 1 star review, check his review history and you will see he often leaves 1 star reviews. We wouldn't hesitate to stay again and have recommended it many times.

Loved our stay at Oscar Lodge, already booked 3 lodges to return with family next year. Beatiful lodges, very clean and well equipped with everything you'd need. My only suggestion is some hooks in the hall for hanging coats, especially if it's raining.
