The Den
North Kesteven
Photo: Google Maps
This converted cottage stands in North Kesteven's fenland countryside, a quiet setting that puts you within reasonable reach of several notable attractions. The building itself is modest but functional, arranged across two floors with everything needed for a short break away.
Downstairs holds the kitchen, a bedroom with two single beds, and a shower room. Upstairs, the living room contains a sofa bed that sleeps two more, along with a TV, DVD and CD player. The essentials—bed linen and towels—are provided, and heating and electricity are included. A travel cot and highchair are available if you need them. One well-behaved dog can stay with you. Note that the stairs are steep and spiral in places.
Outside, you have an enclosed garden with furniture and a barbecue, plus a hot tub. Private parking for one car is on site. The village of Heckington lies 1.25 miles away with its shops, pubs and restaurants; the eight-sailed windmill there is locally known. Tattershall Castle, Belton House and Sleaford are all within 10 miles. Walking and cycling trails cross the area, and a golf course sits 5 miles distant. No smoking inside the property.
