Walcot Hall works well for larger groups – extended families, friends gathering for a celebration, or anyone who needs proper space to spread out. The five bedrooms (three with kingsize beds, two with doubles) and two bathrooms mean people can have their own territory without cramping. One bedroom has an ensuite; the main bathroom has a roll-top bath with shower over. Heating, power, bed linen, towels and wifi are all sorted, and there's a travel cot and highchair available if needed.
This 18th-century house sits on 5 acres with grounds that include woodland. The heated outdoor pool is the sort of thing that turns a long weekend into an event. Inside, the ground floor spreads across a proper kitchen (with Aga, American fridge, dishwasher and all the cooking kit you'd actually use), a dining room for eating together, and two sitting rooms with fireplaces and television. A conservatory and utility room add flexibility. The place is Grade II listed, so it has period character rather than generic rental furniture.
Scunthorpe town centre is 2½ miles away. A pub and restaurant are within a mile. Smoking is not permitted. One pet stays free.

We had such an amazing stay! We stayed in the lodge, and Lady Walcot was incredibly friendly and went above and beyond to make our stay special by leaving us a complimentary bottle of Prosecco and a few bottles of beer, which was such a thoughtful touch. The whole experience was intimate, peaceful, and exceeded our expectations. The hospitality was exceptional, and it felt like we had the whole place to ourselves throughout our stay. It was the perfect relaxing getaway. I would definitely recommend staying here to anyone looking for a peaceful escape. Thank you so much for making my birthday weekend so memorable!!

We have just got married at Walcot Hall and have had a fantastic unforgettable wedding. Julie and Adam were amazing and went beyond our expectations in making our special day simply perfect. Absolutely stunning location, staff could not be more helpful even if they tried. Food was incredible, we had the Ruby package which was excellent value for money. Highly recommend booking this venue, all my.guests were mesmerised. Thank you to all at Walcot Hall x you ate the best
