Blackfriars suits couples and small families wanting a genuine waterside base rather than a room in town. The cottage has water frontage on both sides—the front overlooks the river basin while a decked seating area at the rear looks onto the main River Bure. A shared communal lawn runs down to the water's edge, where you can fish (with licence and in season) or simply watch the river traffic pass by. The location sits on The Peninsula in Wroxham, quiet enough to feel removed but close enough that shops, cafés and boat hire are a few minutes' walk away.
Inside are two bedrooms and one bathroom, sleeping four. The essentials—heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and wifi—are included. Bed linen and towels come as standard, and there is free parking for one car on site. One well-behaved pet can stay at no extra cost. A garden with sitting-out furniture gives you somewhere to be outside when you're not by the water.
From here you can explore the Broads by hiring a boat for the day or boarding the paddle steamer for an organised tour. Wroxham has a mainline train station if you want to reach Norwich or the coast. The Bure Valley steam railway and Wroxham Barns are nearby, and the market town of Aylsham is accessible by train. No smoking is permitted indoors.
