Families and larger groups will find Casa Del Mar works well for a seaside break. The bungalow sleeps six across two bedrooms plus a sofa bed, all on one level with level access. The open-plan living space connects to a conservatory with doors onto a private decked garden, where you can eat outside or simply sit and listen to the sea. Essentials like heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and wifi are included; the kitchen has everything for self-catering, from cooker to dishwasher, and there's a washing machine if needed. Two cars can park on site.

A short walk brings you to the beach at Walcott, which is quiet and sandy. The village has two pubs serving food and a fish and chip shop. For rainy days or wider exploration, Cromer and Sheringham are within 19 miles—both have piers and traditional seaside appeal. The North Norfolk Steam Railway runs from Sheringham. Wroxham, 12 miles away, is the heart of the Norfolk Broads, where you can hire boats or take cruises; the Bure Valley Railway runs through nearby countryside. Bacton Wood, also close by, has woodland trails, cycling routes and picnic spots. Non-smokers only.
