Within ten minutes on foot, you reach long sandy beach, village pubs, a fish and chip shop and ice cream parlour. The Coastal Path starts at the gate. Wroxham—the Norfolk Broads hub—is twelve miles away; Cromer and Sheringham, both traditional seaside towns, lie a similar distance in opposite directions. Blakeney, where boat trips run to seal colonies, is close enough for a day trip, as is the Bure Valley Railway from Wroxham. Bacton Woods, with its woodland trails, suits walkers and cyclists; bird watching, golf and fishing are all available locally.
The Shanty is a detached bungalow on a single level. Two bedrooms sleep four: a double with an ensuite shower, and two singles served by a separate shower room. The open-plan living and dining area has a Freeview Smart TV. The kitchen is fully equipped for self-catering, with an electric oven and hob, dishwasher, washing machine and microwave. An enclosed back garden with furniture and a barbecue catches the sun. Electricity, heating, bed linen, towels and Wi-Fi are included. Parking for three cars is on site. One dog is welcome at no extra cost, though the property is otherwise non-smoking. Arrival is after 3pm, departure before 10am.
