Clematis Cottage

Clematis Cottage suits families, couples and small groups looking for a full-scale base rather than a night's stopover. Three bedrooms sleep six: a kingsize on the ground floor, a zip-and-link pair of singles that can be pushed together or left apart, and another kingsize upstairs with its own shower room. A second bathroom on the ground floor means no morning queues. The kitchen is properly equipped for self-catering, with a range cooker, dishwasher and enough worktop to feed a crowd, and bi-fold doors open the dining space on to a lawned garden with seating and a barbecue.

North Norfolk's beaches are three miles away—wide sandy or shingle strands, marshes and dunes all within easy reach. The Norfolk Broads lie close by if you want to explore by water. Norwich itself is under half an hour away, with its castle, museums, theatres and restaurants. Train access is a short walk at Gunton Station. Historic houses including Felbrigg and Blickling are nearby, along with plenty of local museums. One well-behaved pet can stay at no extra cost. The essentials—heating, electricity, wifi and bed linen—are included. No smoking indoors.
