Violet is a canvas bell tent on the Gresham Hall Glamping site in North Norfolk, set in open meadow with a working flint church visible nearby. You get the whole tent to yourself, with parking for two cars on site and an electric car charging point if needed.
Inside, there's a double bed and two pull-out single beds, a shower cubicle and separate toilet, and a kitchen area with electric hob and microwave for cooking. A wood-burning stove heats the tent through the evening. Electricity, bed linen and towels are provided. Outside your tent is a sitting area with garden furniture, a barbecue and a firepit, plus space to spread out across the shared meadow grounds. You're within walking distance of Felbrigg Estate, a National Trust property where you can follow woodland footpaths and visit the walled garden and café. The coast at Cromer and Sheringham is reachable for a day out. A pub lies within a mile. No smoking inside the tent.

My sister and I pitched up for one night so we could be kids again and for easy access to the coast for fossil hunting. We loved the site, beautiful location, facilities were great, our only suggestion is to reset the shower temperature to a lower setting for the summer, we love a hot shower, but water was too hot! Otherwise, thank you we thoroughly enjoyed our brief stay :)

Stayed 5 nights with our own tent and loved it. Good facilities, great location close to blue flag beaches and local amenities just a few minutes drive away. There is also a fantastic camping store in West Runton should you need any essentials. Georgy and the whole team were lovely. This is the hidden little gem you've been looking for especially for the glamping experience, family friendly, clean and tidy. Would recommend to anyone wanting a peaceful get away.

The location is fabulous. What I would say is this is glamping not camping! We were charged £10 per dog (seems fair), however the carpet and tent wasn’t cleaned so maybe the dog fees are contributing to the Christmas party fund. No hand soap in one of the toilets, freezing shower, eco washing up liquid was standard liquid from a well known German supermarket (small point but if you don’t live it, don’t advertise it!) Bed very uncomfortable. Electric cooler was full of dirty water. Maybe owners used to have excellent attention to detail which in turn resulted in rave reviews, maybe to be competitive in this climate you have to cut corners! Either way this gem can shine again, it just didn’t shine for us!

Good but not great. The signage could be improved - there is one on the main road but it would be helpful to have one in the village. I like the idea of not having cars next to tents - that was really good. More hooks in the (very small) showers and the toilets would be helpful.
