Through the entrance of High House, you step into a compact hallway with stairs climbing steeply upwards. The ground floor holds the main living space—a character room with a woodburner, dining table seating eight, and a separate kitchen where you can actually cook; there's also a utility room and bathroom on this level. Two further flights take you through the bedrooms: the first floor has a kingsize and a pair of pull-out singles, while the second floor contains another kingsize, two further singles and a Z-bed, with an ensuite shower. This layout means families can spread out across the building, with younger children and parents on different floors if needed.
Set in a quiet corner of North Norfolk near Norwich, the cottage sits among open fields with parking for four cars on site. The gardens front and back provide space to sit outside; there are views across the surrounding countryside. One dog travels free. The essentials—heating, electricity, Wi-Fi and bed linen—are included, along with the first load of wood for the stove. A travel cot, highchair and stairgate are available if required. The nearest coastal village has a long sandy beach and a working lighthouse within walking distance. No smoking indoors.
