Overstrand sits on the Norfolk coast where beach access is measured in minutes rather than miles. Forsythia House is part of a small collection of coastal properties here, each within walking distance of the others and the shoreline beyond. The cottage itself dates to the 1800s but has been renovated throughout with contemporary fixtures and fittings that make actual use of the space straightforward rather than picturesque.

The ground floor holds a living room with woodburner and smart TV, a dining room, and a kitchen equipped for proper cooking—electric oven and hob, dishwasher, microwave, fridge-freezer and coffee machine. There is also a utility room with washer-dryer and a bathroom with bath and shower. Upstairs are three bedrooms: one with a king bed and ensuite shower room, one with two single beds, and one single. The second bathroom is on the upper floor. All bed linen and towels come with the booking, as do electricity, heating and wi-fi; the woodburner has an initial fuel supply included.

Outside is a small garden with seating and a barbecue, plus parking for one car. The cottage suits families and groups of five, though smoking is not permitted inside. Cots and high chairs can be arranged on request.
