A single-storey waterside property on a quiet Norfolk waterway, Ripples sits with its own stretch of gravelled garden sloping down to the river. The middle of three cottages, it has a decked veranda that opens directly onto the water – a setup that brings the rhythm of boating life into view from morning to dusk. The river runs unfenced from the veranda, so the boundary between inside and outside dissolves entirely.
Everything is on the ground floor: a living and dining room with Freeview television and DVD player, a kitchen equipped for proper cooking, one bedroom with a kingsize bed, and a shower room. Heating, electricity, bed linen and wifi are included. There is parking for one car on site, and a mooring available if you arrive by water. No smoking throughout.
Horning is a working village on the Broads, well positioned for both activity and quiet. Wroxham, the boating hub, is nearby; Norwich lies seven miles inland with its cathedral, shops and theatre. The sandy beaches of the north Norfolk coast are ten miles away. Locally you'll find a swimming pool, fitness centre, nature trails and golf courses. The village itself has shops and riverside pubs serving food.
