Sutton Windmill
North Norfolk
North Norfolk's Broads and beaches draw visitors year-round, and Sutton Windmill puts you within reach of both. The property itself is a cottage built into a Grade II listed windmill, restored from dereliction over 2020 and 2021. You have the whole place to yourselves, with three bedrooms sleeping five: a double with an ensuite on the first floor, a single and a bunk room on the second. There are internal steps and some low ceilings to navigate. Downstairs, a living room with a smart TV and wood-effect electric heater opens onto an enclosed lawn garden, while the kitchen has everything needed for self-catering—oven, hob, microwave and washing machine. Bed linen, towels, Wi-Fi and heating are included, and one dog is welcome at no extra cost.
Sea Palling's sandy beach is fourteen minutes' drive away. Sutton Staithe, the gateway to the Norfolk Broads, sits nearby: you can arrange boat hire or fishing trips on the waterways, or visit the Norfolk Broads Museum in Stalham, two and a half miles off. Stalham itself has the practical backbone of a market town—supermarket, chemist, cafés, bakery. There are two parking spaces on site. The windmill does not permit smoking.
