Wanderer
North Norfolk
Wanderer sits in Sutton Staithe, a conservation hamlet on the edge of the Norfolk Broads. The cottage has an unusual configuration: the bedroom and bathroom occupy the ground floor, while the living spaces spread across the first floor with a decked balcony facing out over tranquil marshland towards the river. A sofa bed in the living room means it sleeps four, though the single bedroom is the primary sleeping space. One dog is welcome at no extra cost.
Downstairs, the four-poster double has an en-suite bathroom with bath and shower. Upstairs, an open-plan kitchen and living area flows to the balcony, where French doors frame the view. The kitchen is fully equipped for cooking; heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and wi-fi are all included. There is parking for one car on site. No smoking indoors.
The property sits metres from the mooring basin and the River Ant. Fishing is available on-site in season (a licence is required). Footpaths lead along the water for quiet walks; Sutton village green is nearby for picnics. The Broads Museum is a short drive away, Sea Palling beach four miles. Wroxham, the hub of the Broads, lies nine miles north. A local pub and restaurant are within easy walking distance.
