Wroxham village sits on the River Bure in the heart of Norfolk's Broads, a network of shallow lakes linked by waterways that draw boat hire companies, day-trippers and anglers. Within walking distance are shops, a supermarket, pubs and cafés; the coast is 12 miles away, Norwich itself 8 miles. Sprowston golf course lies 5 miles off. Locally you can hire a day launch or bicycle, or head to BeWILDerwood near Horning for outdoor adventure activities among the trees.
Watersedge is a detached house with three bedrooms and one bathroom, sleeping six. Ground floor has a living room opening through patio doors onto a veranda and garden, plus a kitchen with electric cooking, dishwasher and washing machine. Upstairs, two further bedrooms with a separate toilet. The property comes with its own mooring and fishing rights on the river; a decked veranda and furnished garden sit directly on the bank. The river is unfenced and accessed by two steps from the veranda. Bed linen and wi-fi are included, along with parking on site and electric central heating.
This is somewhere to moor a hired boat and explore the Broads by water, or to fish from your own garden—pike fishing is particularly good between November and January. The living room looks over the river. The property is no-smoking.

Quaint holiday cottage, lovely quiet location looking over the Broad, only 10 minutes walk to a good pub, and 3 miles to a town. Be aware that many doorways are low, so banged heads are likely, and the access to one bedroom is via a very narrow steep staircase or via another bedroom. For us it was a very nice place.

Cottage and setting lovely. The problem was with owners, they promised to return the £100 deposit within a week after holiday finished. Four months later, phone calls - unanswered, various emails also unanswered and the promise of 'the cheque is in the post's. Nothing. I find this dishonest and unprofessional . Very disappointed.

Escaped to this beautiful and comfortable setting for calm and tranquility with my partner and 3yr old daughter. The house is more than big enough for two families, and grandparents who came to visit for the night. My daughter loved the secret hidden staircases, going in the rowing boat and as she put it 'visiting the ducks' (less than 5 metres away) and also loved making sand castles and ''duck soup" (soup for ducks) on the beach beside the nearest pub (Pleasure Boat Inn). (We rowed there in the boat!) Highly recommend this if you love nature, or getting out in the outdoors with the family/dog, without the need to get in the car. (Although if you do get in your car, make sure you visit the Seals and seal pups, on Waxham beach). When we come back next year will try to arrange for Supermarket Home Delivery for the day we arrive (seems lots of locals use Tesco/Asda to home deliver throughout the week).
