What visitors say
Easily spend up to 2-3 hours. The rides are ok, not worth waiting much more than 10mins. We only waited 2-3mins for both rides. Kids loved them. The boating school was cleverly done at the start. Everything is well thought out and its surprising that the whole place is there. The cafe is very pricey so steer away from it if you can. Was a lovely little find for something different to do. Would recommend for families with littlies. Gave a 4 as this is aimed for smaller children. Mine are 3, 8. Was a little young for my 8yr old, even though he loved it.

We visited Nickelodeon Adventure Lakeside recently and overall it was a good experience for the kids. The attraction is very clearly aimed at younger children, and they really enjoyed the themed play areas and activities. It kept them entertained and engaged for a good while, which was great to see. However, for adults or older children there isn’t much to do while you wait, and it can feel a bit limited in that sense. Also, the food and drink options were quite limited, which was a bit disappointing during a longer visit. Still, it’s a fun place for younger kids and worth a visit if you’re in the area, just better suited for families with small children rather than a mixed-age group.

We visited Nickelodeon Adventure Lakeside over the weekend with family and friends, and overall it was a fun day out — with a few “oh dear” moments thrown in for character 😄 The first big win is the space. It’s huge, bright, and well laid out, which means you’re not constantly bumping into people or feeling trapped in a sea of pushchairs. That alone made it feel much more relaxed than I expected. That said, it does get very busy, and the queues for meeting characters and some of the rides can be very long — sometimes long enough to make you question your life choices. A few rides, sadly, didn’t quite feel worth the wait. One area that really needs attention is the soft play. While it’s a great idea, some of the tunnels, slides, and play sections are so dark that a few kids were genuinely scared because they couldn’t see where they were going. Better lighting in those areas would make a huge difference and help children actually enjoy it rather than panic their way through. Price-wise: definitely book in advance or hunt for deals. Walk-up prices are steep, and your wallet will feel it long before SpongeBob cheers you up. The staff, however, were lovely — friendly, helpful, and clearly trying their best even when it was busy. And most importantly, the kids did have a great time, which is really what counts. Would I go again? Probably not in a rush — it’s more of a “glad we did it once” kind of place — but if you catch a good deal and go in prepared, it can be a fun day out for the little ones.

We visited Nickelodeon Lakeside for my nephew's birthday, and the experience was absolutely amazing. He's a huge SpongeBob fan, and the staff really went above and beyond to make his day special. My nephew has additional needs, and every member of staff was incredibly kind, patient, and welcoming. A special mention has to go to Amy, the manager on shift that day. Her kindness and care were exceptional, and she almost brought my sister (my nephew's mum) to tears with how thoughtful she was. The facilities completely exceeded my expectations and were far better than I imagined. I found myself getting excited and taking lots of photos, even got a cheeky selfie with SpongeBob 😂 There was so much to see and do, and everything was well presented and maintained. We arrived right at opening time, which I would highly recommend. It was quiet, there were no queues, and we were able to make the most of the experience before it got busier. We travelled four hours to get there, and thanks to everything available at Lakeside, it definitely didn't feel like a wasted journey. There were plenty of other activities nearby to enjoy as well. Overall, it was a fantastic day out, and we would definitely visit again. Thank you to Amy and the whole team for making my nephew's birthday so memorable ❤️
