What visitors say
The history of Harlow is well documented here and it's an absolute pleasure to sift through said history. Undoubtedly the highlight is the room full of different types of bicycles, all of which have quite the history (my favourite being the Penny Farthing; always a delight to see them in the steel.) The Walled Garden is well looked after and absolutely beautiful to navigate. The flower gardens are manicured and look sublime with the pop of various coloured roses and other floral delights. The whole experience is free and the staff there are fabulous so if you happen to be in this particular neck of the woods then do drop by.

Visited today and was welcomed by friendly museum staff. There was no wait and the entry was free, there is also a little gift shop to visit with a variety of items on sale; mini posters, pins, pencils and also cards. Inside the displays were very informative with Roman pieces, Harlow history, old technology and more. There’s also a little library onsite. We visited the gardens last and will definitely be back to enjoy the peace and beauty.

Harlow Walled Gardens is always putting on fun activities and events for the local community. Their gardens are well maintained all year and their museum has interesting aspects of the history of Harlow. It's a lovely place! We have reviewed it a few times on our local blog, Life with Jupiter and Dann.

This review about Harlow Museum & Walled Gardens A small museum with lovely garden to walk round. What a lovely haven to be at with the family and children. Not a proper cafe though just wished if the place was provided with food service providers or sellers. Some interesting Roman finds and an impressive bikes collection. Nice welcome from the receptionist and it's free! Most of the workers are volunteers serving the community, bless you all.
