Step into Alpine Cottage and you're met with a ground-floor layout that flows from living space to kitchen to bedroom without climbing stairs. The living room centres on a woodburner and opens onto the garden through patio doors. The kitchen, brightened by vaulted ceilings and roof windows, has everything needed to cook properly—electric cooker, range, dishwasher, fridge-freezer. Off it sits a twin bedroom with garden access and its own bathroom with bath and shower.

Upstairs, a king bedroom with countryside views has a second shower room. Two bathrooms and heating throughout mean everyone's comfortable. One dog is welcome at no extra cost. Wifi, electricity, bed linen and towels are all included; in winter months (September to March) the initial wood for the burner is too. Private parking for four cars sits on site, and the enclosed front garden has sitting areas and furniture for looking out over Wensleydale.

Leyburn lies within the Yorkshire Dales, with walking straight from the garden and The Wheatsheaf Inn nearby for an evening out. No smoking inside.
