Archers Barn

You arrive at Archers Barn to find an open-plan ground floor, where the kitchen, dining and living spaces flow together under natural light from large windows and patio doors. The kitchen has everything needed for self-catering – electric cooker, dishwasher, microwave, fridge and washing machine. From here, French doors lead to an enclosed patio and garden with seating and a barbecue. Upstairs, three bedrooms spread across two floors: a kingsize with dressing area on the first floor, a double, a bathroom with bath and shower, and on the second floor a zip-and-link room with two single beds. There's a walk-in shower room on the ground floor as well. Heating is via biomass underfloor heating; electricity, bed linen, towels and wi-fi are included.

Archers Barn sits at Greta Bridge, with Barnard Castle five miles away – a market town with riverside walks, galleries and the Bowes Museum – and Richmond ten miles beyond that, known for its cobbled streets and independent shops. The immediate countryside offers walking routes and cycle tracks. Parking for three cars is on site. The barn is not suitable for smoking. There are five steps at ground level in the property grounds.
